CNS members were honoured to be invited to the residence of the Ambassador of Sweden, Her Excellency Signe Burgstaller, for an afternoon reception on April 16. Around 30 members listened attentively to her most informative presentation on Nordic co-operation in Canada, the current Swedish chairmanship in the Nordic Council of Ministers, and the recent Swedish membership in NATO. She graciously responded to questions regarding the current political situation before inviting us to enjoy the hospitality she and her colleagues kindly provided. We really appreciated the opportunity to meet and talk to her and her colleagues in the beautiful residence with its lovely gardens and amazing view of the Ottawa River.
